Suddenly, De Venecia blows the whistle

Former Jose De Venecia is doing a Chavit Singson by admitting the P500,000 Palace bribe in 2007. Do we have the making of another hero? Former accomplishes who turn their backs on their allies and blows the whistle.

Brace yourselves because we are now about to be taken again into another roller coaster ride.

I’ve seen it all before… whistle blowers parading on the street like they were some kind of iconic heroes out to save the Philippines. And being the forgetful Filipinos that we are, we never realized that they were actually part of this thing that are crusading against now.

I really don’t care much about the principals, there will spotlights that will focus on them definitely. I am more conscious on the whistle blowers… are they really heroes? What about their participation then, would that just be forgotten?

Erap was tried and jailed… Chavit was loose and treated a hero. He was even allowed to run in an election. Fortunately, he lost.

Now it’s De Venecia on Arroyo.

He said the money is still with him and he is willing to return it. Really? Is that the same money given a year ago? Wasn’t it used for anything? A traditional money placements could have earned something with that amount. If so, will it be returned with the corresponding earnings that particular money has acquired?

Why only now?

Are we really a mass of morons who take things superficially?
