Would an apology suffice?

Honestly, can you feel any sincerity with it? An apology with a qualification that they did not start the fight. The Pangandamans is taking the whole nation for an idiot! And fools we are if we let this just go by without justice being served! Fools we are because we can’t do anything about the country’s bureaucratic system and let this things happen right under our nose.

Just imagine:

If they can do that to someone who can afford to play golf, what do you think they are able to do to smaller people who happens to have such a close encounter with them?

If they can do that in a place which is very far away from their territory, can you just imagine the plight of the poor people in Masiu City in Lanao del Sur who have to bear with their bratty, gods-of-war attitude day in and day out?

Yes, this is another post on the nightmare that happened on a golf course, where fellow blogger Bambee and her family happened to cross path with Mayor Nasser Pangandaman Jr. and his father Agrarian Reform secretary and namesake Nasser Pangandaman Sr.

Because we, bloggers, are always there to help and support a fellow blogger. And we are doing our part to create noise, to spread this news as far as we can, and to help spread the truth - the sad truth that is happening in our country.

Manny Pacquiao is SI Fighter of the Year!

With the euphoria of his recent victory still far from over, Manny Pacquiao has achieved another milestone in his career and brought greater glory to the Philippines as he bagged the title Fighter of the Year from Sport’s Illustrated Magazine.

The title was awarded to him by SI because of a colorful boxing career for the Pacman in 2008, as reported by Chris Mannix of Inside Boxing.

The list of Pacquiao’s casualty this year are Juan Manuel Marquez in March, David Diaz in June and of course the celebrated Golden Boy Oscar dela Hoya this December. While his first two matches brought him championship belts, ironically, the sweetest victory was brought about by his latest match which was a non-title match.

Because of his victories and great impact in the world of boxing - inside and outside the ring, SI has handed him the prestigious Fighter of the Year title.

Indeed, Pacquiao has achieved boxing greatness and has reached a status where no Filipino boxer has ever been before.

And if 2008 was great for the Pacman, 2009 also looks as promising with possible matches with Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather Jr. being cooked up.

Shoes for President Bush

President George W. Bush was quick to duck when a shoe was thrown at him during his visit in Iraq. He still has his reflexes in control. And since, the one shoe left won’t serve him any good, the man threw the second shoe again at Bush, and again, he misses.

Poor target shooting. Perhaps, because the visit was made in outright secrecy, and the man didn’t know that he’ll meet the US President that’s why he didn’t have time to practice.

He was taken out of the room after the incident.

“That was a size 10 shoe he threw at me, you may want you to know,” Bush said trying to ease the tension.

The man was shouting, “This is a farewell kiss, you dog!” as he was throwing the shoes.

Apparently, not everybody in Iraq would want to see him.

An important video you should watch: NO TO CHA-CHA!

The world will stop when Pacquiao and Dela Hoya fights

In less than 24 hours, the world will stop as boxing greats Manny Pacquiao and Oscar dela Hoya collides on the Las Vegas ring.

Even if some legislators before even tried to stop Pacquiao from continuing before because they were worried about him. As if Pacman was a little boy needing protection from his big brothers for picking up a fight bigger than him. But of course, we all know that they are just riding on the popularity of the issue.

With the US election now being over, and the Arroyo impeachment trial being sidelined, all eyes are now definitely on this fight which is tagged as The Dream Match.

Sports Illustrated’s Sportsman of the Year - Michael Phelps

Well, it seems that Michael Phelps isn’t yet finished in claiming 2008 as his greatest year. And what a way to end it as he was declared Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated magazine.

After lording it over competitions in 2008 Beijing Olympics and making swimming once again a popular sport for kids, Michael Phelps has joined the ranks of Tiger Woods,Tom Brady, and other great sportsman who have been given this coveted title. Phelps is the first swimmer to be given the title.

During the 2008 Olympics, Phelps has made the swimming pool the center of the universe. As Sports Illustrated Group editor Terry McDonell said “…he changed not only swimming, but the entire Olympic landscape.” He even said that choosing Phelps for 2008 Sportsman of the Year was “the easiest choice I have made.”

I remember some people asking questions before “Is he (Phelps) even human?” Well, with this achievement, I think he might just have taken one step closer to ‘immortality.’

But I do have a more intriguing question which just popped up in my mind: “Do he now have as many product endorsements as Michael Jordan?”

Or perhaps even more… and counting.

Getting away from it all

It’s almost Christmas and yet it’s seems to be getting hotter in our country. What with the impeachment cases filed and then sidelined, charter change propositions, a controversial prayer, fertilizer scam, euro generals and the numerous left and right political hustling to strengthen one’s political position - GIVE ME A BREAK!

That’s just what I intend to do, get away from all this unbearable self-serving movements. I’m thinking bread and breakfast Paris - yes, b&b paris… what a way to escape!

And speaking of escape, make it all worthwhile. Make it one that is unforgettable, and all the troubles back home forgettable. Think Paris, Italy, Rome Hotels, Venice… I’m excited already. Just thinking all about the places that I want to go to. I’ll definitely forget all the unnecessary anxieties brought about by all the sad news here.

Imagine waking up in one of the Hotel Florence, having your breakfast leisurely in your bed. No rush, no hurry, no stress. Just plain holiday and relaxation… unwind and loosen up. It’s a great way to rejuvenate a tired soul.

I can almost taste it…

I guess I better contact FreeReservation.com to have my hotel reservations taken care of so I can pack my things and get ready to get away from it all.

Yes I know… wishful thinking.
