Have you heard of “Synthetic tree?”

Have you ever heard or seen a synthetic tree? Not yet, neither do I.

But this synthetic tree is what scientists in the United States are developing, and they say that the ‘tree’ is “capable of collecting carbon around 1,000 times faster than the real thing.”

Wow! Sounds promising!

CNN reports say that the technology they use is similar to that used to capture carbon from flue stacks at coal-fired power plants. The only difference is that the ‘tree’ can catch carbon anytime, anywhere.

The picture above is how the “Synthetic Tree” might look like. Doesn’t really look like a tree, does it?

But hey! If the scientists said it’s a tree, and it does the function of a tree - then it is a tree!

hmmm… I wonder if it will also bear fruits
