Philippine’s boxing hero, Manny Pacquiao has added another achievement in his already illustrious career. Pacquiao is Time Magazine’s cover in its lates Asian Edition which will be out on the market this weekend.

The pound-for-pound king will be featured in a five-page story tracing his humble beginnings, and his rise from rags to riches… and eventually to world fame. Pacquiao is the first Filipino personality to land on the cover of the weekly news magazine after the former President and icon of democracy, Corazon Aquino.

He now joins the rank of other boxing greats who also graced the magazine’s cover, like Primo Carner, Muhammad Ali, Cassius Clay, Joe Frazier, Sugar Ray Robinson and Mike Tyson. The magazine describe Pacquiao as “the latest savior of boxing.”

This international accolade is definitely a big boost to the Pacman’s morale as he takes on his latest challenge on November 14 at Las Vegas against Puerto Rican powerhouse Miguel Cotto.
